I have always had a pair of binoculars. Then I had a spotting scope. Time went by, and I had one of those new Blackberry  Cell phones with a camera. I was out in eastern Oregon with my binoculars spying on a Quail cock, he was perched on a fence post clucking out his mating song and not going anywhere soon. I had an idea and a lot of time. I put the tiny camera lens of the cell phone over the eyepiece of my 8x binoculars, slid it around, manipulated, focused until I had the Quail centered and captured a decent photo. Digiscoping, for me, was born.
